What started as an accidental publication of an opinion article in the mainstream media, became Free People Media. Free People Media was founded in 2020 by Vicki Van Lommel.
Free People Media is a media platform that tries to explain the world of today, by understanding who we truly are as humans and offer possible future perspectives to reconnect people with themselves, each other, and the natural environment. The world of today is the result of our own choices we made in the past, the choices of our parents, our ancestors of hundreds and even thousands and millions years ago. The world of today is the result of mostly sincere sustainable intentions of us all. The world of today is not made in one day, but over thousands and millions years ago, so also the future will be the result of more than just one day, ten or hundred years. This means that if we are not happy with what the world makes go round today, the best guarantee to ensure an outcome that makes us more content, is starting with ourselves by making other choices then we made in the past, following and creating other paths then we made in the past, starting by changing our current thoughts and views, that fuel the world like what it will look tomorrow. Free People Media offers people bright and original perspectives how to look to ourselves, each other, and the natural environment in another way, creating the opportunity to change our thoughts and views.
Sustainable intentions of ourselves and those of our ancestors in the past, and our children and next generations in the future do not guarantee sustainable outcomes. Also, what worked in the past does not need to work now or in the future, because times change, people changes, our social structures change and our natural environment changes with, but mostly without us. To make more sustainable choices, we need to understand who we truly are as individuals, as a group, and what our relation is with the natural environment, and living who we actually are as individuals, as a group, and in connection with our natural environment. Every day we succeed to live connected with ourselves, each other, and the natural environment, we create the conditions to make connected choices.
